I recently heard that 3W Clinic Professional Natural Make-Up Powder or formerly known as Dodo Palgantong powder is quiet popular within Asia especially in Korea and Japan, luckily last week I read an advertisement on the internet that Gwenhouse is selling this powder. Well, Gwen wasn't the only one who had impressed me about this powder, my cousin, Elsye had advertised me so many times on her Blackberry Messenger Status offering this product with quiet cheap price which in the end my other cousin decided to buy it.

Yes, thankies to Angela, on last Christmas (2011) I had a chance to test this powder, yes! Time to feed my curiosity over 'what kind of magic does it offer' question. I've been thinking to use it for my Christmas celebration at church. And after all, I'm quiet surprised with the result, it creates a good coverage for a quiet long duration. Psst, I'm not going to spoil everything in this section, tho.

So, yes, last week after I contacted the Gwenhouse owner, she offered me an interesting price for only IDR 70,000, Wow! Cheaper than my cousin sold me. So I directly bought it and used it.

Now it's been a week and it's my time for reviewing :) Note that I'm still not good on doing make-up so this might be not my best review since 'maybe' I haven't explored this powder that much due my limited ability, for now. But at least, you'll know a review based on a newbie like me.

What does the advertisement say?

After using BB Cream for a quiet long time, I find that too often wearing a dewy/shiny look is definitely not a good idea, moreover during summer when people would change their idea about dewy into OILY look, and that was what happened on me. I realized people thought that my face was over-oily in all around area of my face and I couldn't brag that 'Hey, I use a Korean make-up here!' LOL, so I then decided to accept my cousin's advice to change my face finishing into a little bit matte finishing. So there, you know now why I accepted her offering -besides, I've been using local cheap powder all this time, haha..

Packaging

I love seeing my 3W Clinic. It took only a day for it finally arrived at my house, and I guess you won't imagine how happy I was. The packaging is, in my opinion a bit usual, and having a 'Chinese New Year' theme, red and yellow which I don't take it too special. The powder rounded box has the same theme with the wrapping box, with additional sponge you got here.

Product Appearance

I bought the #23 Natural Color for this powder since I have a little bit dark skin by now. My current job definitely forces me to work outside the office, go here and there, so I definitely rely on a high SPF protection lately and couldn't deny that I'm getting dark even days.

So the powder seems a little bit pinky but  my cousin who had already used this powder said that #23 gives a transparant look and it will help dark skin people with a good matte finishing, and so I nodded 'ok!' . The smell ? Some reviewers might say that it smells like your grandmother powder but for me, it's quiet relaxing and I don't find it as a problem.

Product Application

My Skin-color : yellowish, brown, Indonesian
My Skin-type : dry, oily, combination, large pores
Other : Acne spots, uneven skin-color in some areas

So, yes, I need this powder to give a good matte finishing like what I had written above for so many times, so I will apply this powder right after I use my BB Cream. Wait for 15 minutes until the cream blends with my face color then I used this powder.

Coverage

Yes, it gives a good coverage for me, it doesn't make my skin become oily after a certain period and due my work time 8 AM - 5 PM, it lasts perfectly, maybe I just need one time to do a little blotting but it's not a big matter. My face doesn't cracked like it used to be. And yes, it suits this tropical weather, hot season and matte finishing. I feel so excited to continue using this powder!

Since I haven't explored this powder that much but only with BB Cream, so I still have to learn how to make a better finishing and better look with this powder. But so far, 3W Clinic Professional Natural Make-Up Powder (Dodo Palgantong) really suits my sensitive skin. And it helps me.
